My name is Tara.
I’m 5’8 and currently trying to reach an ultimate goal of 145 pounds.
My weight has fluctuated a great amount over the past two years. In June 2011 I was my heaviest, weighing 197 pounds. That same Summer I gave up drinking, worked out and ran everyday, and ate healthy. As a result, I got down to 168 pounds. Unfortunately returning to college made keeping the weight off a struggle. By Summer 2012 I was 175 pounds. My weight continued to increase. I spent this past summer working in Australia and managed to get up to 193 pounds.
These past two weeks I’ve been trying on and off to shed some pounds, but this time I am serious. I’m at 189 pounds and plan to continue shedding weight until I finally reach my ultimate goal. There is no giving up this time - I want this too badly!
Too often I cancel plans to go out if I know someone I’m interested will be around because I am too embarrassed of my weight. I refuse to let that happen anymore. I want to be proud of my body and proud of myself for my progress.
